Living Well With Sight Loss Course
The Kirklees community is set to benefit from an insightful Living Well With Sight Loss Course, organised in conjunction with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB). The course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of various aspects related to sight loss and is open to all individuals seeking to enhance their knowledge in this area.
Living Well With Sight Loss Course will be held in two locations – the Whitfield Centre in Batley and Brian Jackson House in Huddersfield. Participants are required to attend both sessions in their chosen location, with details as follows:
Batley:
Dates: Wednesday 30th October and Wednesday 6th November 2024
Time: 10am to 2pm
Venue: Whitfield Centre
Huddersfield:
Dates: Thursday 14th November and Thursday 21st November 2024
Time: 10am to 2pm
Venue: Brian Jackson House
The course will cover a wide range of essential topics, including everyday living equipment, technology, mobility, benefit entitlement, eye health and more. Participants will gain valuable insights into the challenges faced by people living with sight loss and learn how to support themselves, a friend or family member effectively.
