Living Well With Sight Loss Courses

Outlookers, a local organisation supporting visually impaired individuals, is once again partnering with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to host the Living Well With Sight Loss course in 2025. This collaboration marks another milestone in their ongoing efforts to empower and educate individuals with vision loss.
The comprehensive course covers a wide range of essential topics designed to enhance the lives of participants. Subjects include eye health, benefit entitlements, mobility, everyday living equipment, technology, well-being, and much more. Participants will embark on a whistle-stop tour of support available within the vision loss sector, making this course ideal for those newly diagnosed with sight loss or anyone looking to update their knowledge of available support.
Outlookers is offering the Living Well With Sight Loss course at two locations, ensuring accessibility for a broad range of individuals. The first course will take place in Huddersfield, at Outlookers’ office in Brian Jackson House. The sessions will be held on Wednesday, 23rd April, and Wednesday, 30th April, both from 10am to 2pm.
The second course will take place in Batley, at the Whitfield Centre. This course will be held on Monday, 12th May and Monday, 19th May, both sessions running from 10am to 2pm. It is crucial for participants to be available to attend both parts one and two of the course in either venue.
To secure a spot, booking is essential. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact Sam Heaton at 07462 596497 or via email at sam.heaton@outlookers.org.uk to reserve their place. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others in the vision loss community.
