New Year, New CEO

We waved goodbye to Chris as CEO at the end of 2022, step forward into 2023 and welcome our new CEO Mark Owen.

Mark initially came to Outlookers towards the end of 2019, back when we were still known as Kirklees Visual Impairment Network, and took the role of Technology and Finance Manager. Many will already know Mark from his one-on-one technology support sessions or group tech demonstrations.
Mark is visually impaired himself so understands the difficulties faced whilst living with a visual impairment and will be fantastically representative going forward as our CEO.

“It’s brilliant news to welcome Mark in his new role as Chief Officer of Outlookers following the retirement of Chris. He has the knowledge and skills to support both staff and volunteers in the drive and vision to reach out our services to as many visually impaired people as we can to enable them to continue to do the things they enjoy despite their sight loss.”
“I personally feel he is the right person in the right position to take the organisation forward.”
